Often times we humans move along day-to-day trying to survive another day. Many of us are so overwhelmed with our daily responsibilities that we have little or no time to pause and assess our current path. Today I would like to ask that you allow yourself 15 minutes to just be. A mere 15 minutes to stop and clear your mind.
Once your mind is still ask yourself “Am I living the life I want? Am I really living, or just existing?” It is in answering these two questions that many people find their “aha” moment. The moment when you realize that if you do not change your life, your life will not change. Simply there can be no change, without change.
For the next 2 minutes write down all your obligations. Now spend a minute and look at your list. What can you eliminate? The point of this exercise is to assist you in identifying what you need to do to get off the hamster wheel of life. If you are ok with running nonstop with no destination or purpose in mind, this article does not apply to you. If however, you are; tired, ragged, worn out, exhausted then take heart help is on the way.
When deciding what to eliminate from, or keep and add to, your daily schedule remember this. You can not be all things to all people until you mean something to yourself. Loving yourself is the only way you can gain strength to love others. Nourish and feed your mind body and spirit first, then you will have an abundance to give to others.
