What Will You Tell Them

How much of what you think and feel do you keep in your heart? How much do you
think the people closest to you can handle? Are you protecting your loved ones or yourself? Is honesty the best policy?
Sometimes the things we don’t say and don’t do are big fat lies eating at our hearts. We keep thoughts and feelings locked up under the guise of consideration, respect, concern for others. We tell ourselves we are sparing the feelings of those we love. We avoid saying oftentimes necessary words out of our own discomfort in bringing something out in the open. All the while we are denying truth. The truth only hurts when you don’t want to hear it.
It’s possible the things you are holding in your heart are the very things that need to be expressed for healing and growth for ourselves, our loved ones and our relationships. Words spoken in love from the heart have the power to change lives. The next time you intuitively know something in your heart speak up, but do not be attached to actions, results or outcomes; you can not control another. We are always planting and watering seeds with our words; be the master gardener in your life and decide what you will tell them.
